Frozen screen XZ Premium

Four hours ago the screen froze as I was going to watch a snap. The screen has been frozen since. The phone does not react to me pressing any of the buttons. Also tried removing the SIM-card. The battery was on 93% when it froze. Tried also to charge it. Still no reaction. Now just waiting for it to run out of battery. Planning to return it to the shop where I bought it tomorrow. I have been a faithful customer and only bought Ericsson and later Sony Ericcson phones since for almost two decades. Never had a problem before and am very disappointed now.

Is this a known problem and do you have a solution?

Found at tip in another tread.  "Press power button and volume up at the same time". Did that and it is now restaring.

In my XZ premium, i am facing screen blanking (frozen screen) issue when is try to call.

but i can return to my home screen after multiple pressess on the HOME button.

This doesnt happen very often but whenever this happens, the dialer wont work until unless i restart my phone.

Do you or any other XZP users faced this issue.

i had this issue also in my xperia Z5 dual phone.

could this be a software issues ? or probably hardware ?

But why sony xz premium has a blank screen and suddenly frozen. I also have this issue today, when my phones is frozen I try to call it still not response after that try to search Google how to troubleshoot this issue the answer shown that I must to press the power button and volume button up simultaneously. Then screen start to appear logo Sony. The question is Why this is happen  To xz premium recently.is this normal?
