A few months ago my xperia just suddenly would not recognize the SIM card anymore. I tried a number of things to fix it and nothing worked so I gave up and switched to my old phone. Today I decided I'd try and fix it again since there were new software updates and such. Well nothing worked, just like before so I decided to try the sony software repair thing for the computer. I plug my phone in (working just fine other than not recognizing sim cards) and start up the repair process. Seems like it would take a while, so I leave the room and come back several minutes later to find that the process evidently failed. I try to turn on my phone and it won't do anything at all. The notification light is a solid green and nothing will get it to do anything now. Sony software repair says to plug it back in, so I do, and then it says to unlock my phone, but I cannot as it will not display anything.
I'm sorry to hear that, I've been there, it's quite frustrating, what if you uninstall and reinstall Xperia Companion
