hello all.
i have the Hearing Aid icon always on on the status bar of my E1 dual.
it's the same thing that was happening with other user, but with another phone model (Z1), as seen on this thread: http://talk.sonymobile.com/t5/Xperia-Z1-Z1s/Unidentified-icon-on-status-bar/td-p/424605
however, i have not found the hearing aid settings on my E1.
how can i turn off this function and get rid of this icon?
thanks in advance.
Settings-call settings-hearing aids.
unfortunately, the Call Settings on my phone does not have a Hearing Aids option.
Boot the phone in safe mode and see if it is still enabled:

thanks for assisting me with this subject.
booted the phone in safe mode, but the icon is still on.
booted again in normal mode and there it is unchanged. so the issue remains.
(it is worth mentioning that i didn't find a Hearing Aids option or settings menu anywhere in the phone settings.)
If the icon is there,it means your device supports hearing aids. But I do not know why the option isn't there.Check in call settings if you have TTY mode enabled.
TTY mode is disabled.
and now i have another issue (LOL).
after rebooting the phone in normal mode, the 3rd party app icons that weren't shown on the sceeen in safe mode are still missing.
I suggest you run a software repair with SUS:

couldn't pass the "connect the usb to your phone while holding the volume button" step.
did that and nothing happened, only the "back" button was enabled.
Was the phone completely turned off?Try several times.
