Hearing aid icon always on status bar

hello all.

i have the Hearing Aid icon always on on the status bar of my E1 dual.

it's the same thing that was happening with other user, but with another phone model (Z1), as seen on this thread: http://talk.sonymobile.com/t5/Xperia-Z1-Z1s/Unidentified-icon-on-status-bar/td-p/424605

however, i have not found the hearing aid settings on my E1.

how can i turn off this function and get rid of this icon?

yes completely turned off for more than 30 seconds as per the instructions.

will give it a try later and get back here with the results.

i still haven't tried the Update Service again.

but i noticed that my wife's E phone does have the Hearing Aid setting on the Call Settings menu.

my E1 phone does not.

i wonder why.

well, i never got to run the Service Update app or call a rep.

what happened is that, since the last update, the problem is solved.
