NW-A45 and WAV files - lost track numbers

I am having an issue with WAV files on my A45 when I transfer them from Musicbee. They look fine on MB and have all the normal tags and artwork. However, on the Walkman the track numbering seems to be ignored and the tracks are in alphabetical order. All other file format (FLAC, ALAC, MP3, etc) are fine. Does anyone else have this issue? Have you been able to fix it?

Thanks.

Hi @marukomu

My reply may be a bit late but I'd actually suggest Sony Music Centre. Even though they're both by Sony, MG was discounted and replaced by MC. This will guarantee best compatibility.

OK, I've now tried this with Music Centre and it doesn't seem to work with it either. The WAV files that show up fine (with track numbers, artwork, etc in the tags) in Musicbee or MP3tag don't show up with those tags in Music Centre. Does anyone have any other suggestions as to how to get these tags to show up on my A45 walkman?

I've contacted Sony on your behalf to check this and they were able to confirm that the Walkman doesn't support WAV metadata.

Hope this helps!
