Unable to create a playlist

Hi everyone... I bought a NWZ-S765 and straight away tried to create playlists in order to use it in my car. I used Windows media player initially (I have Win7 ultimate x64 in my PC) with no succes. I tried Media Go and still nothing shows in my walkman's playlist section. I used Contents Transfer and still nothing. In every case it appears that the songs go into the walkman, but when I open the playlists I get the following message:

"No playlists available. Please connect to compliant software or device and transfer playlists".

The songs I upload to the walkman do appear in All songs section but not in the Playlist section.

Could there be that the PC sees the walkman in some sort of a different way or am I doing something wrong?

My friend,

First of all I want to thank you for your reply!

I have found the solution to the problem and that is my player required a driver to be seen by my system. I installed the MTP driver and everything works like a charm. By the way, I am creating my playlists through itunes and upon completion of each one of them I drag and drop it into Sony Contents Transfer program. I find it to be way easier than Windows media player....

Take care!

I had same problem but iv'e just had a good play and iv'e cracked it!! Bare in mind im using windows 7 so i don't know if your windows media player is the same but here it is step by step:

  • Open windows media player
  • Connect mp3 player
  • Click on playlists at the top
  • Then click on Sync tab at top right of media player (next to 'play' and 'burn' tabs)
  • Select your playlist you have previously created on windows media player and drag it into the sync box. (It should just say 'sync list' then the name of your playlist and nothing else, if it says 'drag items here to create a list to sync to WALWMAN..... or sync 'name of your playlist' to WALKMAN then this won't work)
  • Then hit start sync with the two little green arrows as an icon

Hope this helps.

Dave.

Where is the solution, each time I click on Go to Solution, I get the royal runaround. It says View Solution in Original Post, whatever that means, then nothing happens when I click on that. What is the darn solution to playlist not transferring to my MP3 from WMP, when the the individual tunes do?
