usually as to what i have heard from my chinese friends that sony has built new factories and are building new laptops and other accessories in vast quantities in china. and to comfirm to this i just bought a new vaio 2 weeks ago and is also made in china.... vgn-fz21z is the model....... sorry dude but we all r in the same boat
