Z1 Problems

Hi there!

Was at a phone shop earlier this afternoon afternoon and there I was comparing the new HTC One M8, Galaxy S4, Galaxy S5 and the Xperia Z1 side by side. For some reason I fell in love with the Z1. Why? It was just the right size (5" screen), its very light, build quality seem topnotch, audio quality (with my headphones) was near amazing, camera quality seem excellent and it was quite fluid and performance seem spot on.

But I want to ask about the curreent 4.4.2 update and other issues.

1. There seem to be no "Stop All" option as regards stopping all apps in thr multitasking button

2. Heard of intermittent wifi disconnections and this problem of wifi signal getting significantly weak even at a not-so distance

3. Camera placment is just wrong. You have a 99.99% chance you will cover it when taking a photo

4. Speaker sound still sounded muffled because of this wtaerproof thing.

Gino,in safe mode how is your alarm?

How do i go to Safe Mode? And why do i need to go there if i may ask?

Just wanted to see if any 3rd party app could interfere with the alarm.

I don't believe any third--party apps have caused the bug to manifest as i have told you there were NO third-party apps when the bug manifested itself when it happened.

I rung Sony Mobile again and was told if i can clear the data and the cache of the app under Settings>Apps then press the Power button together with the volume up for a soft reset. Did that and still bug is there.

My Xperia Z1 is not safe for water, now the taclie screen not work (Sorry for my English i'm FRench)

I have given up on the Alarm issue. Still not entirely disappointed. I have two alarm clocks that i have installed and they all work even if phone is on SIlent or any settings on Power saving.

I'm thinking of going to a Sony shop to have the ASF change as i see some hairline/very minute scratches on top of the touchscreen but again its no big deal. It doesn't affect my phone's touchscreen so far.

Now i want to go back re: the water resistant of the phone.  You said its fine as long as the ports are closed. But, what if its tea, coffee, soup, fruit juices, soap or shampoo. Is that still safe?
