Hi Sony Support please take note and help!
I've updated my Xperia V 9.2.A.1.199 2 days ago and I found that the battery drain off very very fast! For instance, this morning I charged my phone at 11am to 100% and by 2pm the battery drain down to 63% for just receiving 2 watsapp messages. I've turn-on the Stamina Mode but still battety drains like a waterfall. Please help, thank you.

I suggest that you try to reinstall the latest software using PC Companion:
http://www.sonymobile.com/update
In PC Companion, press start on Support Zone > Start on Update the phone/tablet software > Press the blue link that says "Repair phone/tablet".
Before repairing the software in your device you may want to backup your information first. Check out this topic for more information on how to:

Hi Alexander, thank you for your advice. I'll try to reinstall my Xperia over this weekend and feedback.
Goodday and have a nice weekend ahead
Great, keep us updated! Have a nice weekend!
Hi Alexander, first and foremost I thank you for your great advice. Yesterday I did as advised and here's my feedback:
1. I did a full backup in both Xperia phone and PC Companion.
2. I connected to my Sony Vaio notebook and reinstall the updates.
3. For all Sony Phone users - One thing to take note about the restoring of data from PC Companion, after restoring only the contacts, SMS messages as well as the other default apps are restored. All other apps; i.e. Watsapp, games, etc were not be restored unless you've backup all these in your Xperia Phone using the Backup & Restore App and store it in the external SD Card and do a restoration from your phone's backup.
Here's the effects - After reinstalled and restoring all data and pics, etc...I charge my phone to 100% at 6.30pm, checking at the setting under power management it indicate that the estimated battery time was 2 days 23 hours (3 days 17 hours in standby mode); that's great! and by this morning around 9am the indicator shows 73% (after 14 hours) and the estimated battery time remain at 2 days 11 hours.
I think it's a great improvement and I hope it will continue functioning that way. I thank you once again for your advice.
Best regards and have a nice day!
Hi Sony Support,
I wish to seek your advice with regard to automatic switching between Wifi and Data connections.
I discovered this function from the Setting - Power Management there's an option to activate the "Location-based Wi-Fi" that the wifi connection will automatically activated when in range of a saved wi-fi network.
I'd activated it to experience the differences (with both Data and Wi-Fi switches are still turn-on) and I found that when I am at home my phone indicator shows the wifi icon and the Data icon no longer showing the LTE sign, but both Wi-FI and Data switch are still turning on. When I went out of my house, the wifi indicator turns off and the Data icon re-activated.
This is good, but my question is with both Wi-Fi and Data swicthes turns On does it use up for battery power?
Thanking you in advance and appreciate your kind advice please.
Best regards from Greenhorn
Hi,
It is working just as it should. When connected to a Wi-Fi network, mobile data is not active and will not drain any battery on your phone.
So it should not be something to worry about.
