Hi
I have expected troubles recently with my Xperia M. It connot shut down, when I press ont the power button, the selection «power off», «airplane mode» and «screen shut» appears. When I select «power off», the message «shutting down» appears but the phone never shut down even after 12 hours. I have to remove the battery to power off the phone.
This issue has happened just after my phone get frozen with the application «ub reader». My battery is also consumed really quickly since that time. I have tried to do the factory reset, however since the phone is not shutting down it is not working. I have also tried to update the phone with PC companion tool, but same thing, I cannot update the phone since it is not shutting down.
Please advise, I have found on that forum that android phone may lost some files which are used to shut down the phone: http://androidforums.com/admire-all-things-root/508171-not-shutting-down-fix.html. So if you have the files used to shut down the phone please send it to me, I will try to replace it in the proper directory. I have an Xperia M C1904 with android version 4.1.2.
Thanks
Try to perform a system repair and if that fails contact Xperia care http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/support/contact-us/
Switch off your phone and unplug from Pc (Hold volume up and power for around 10 seconds)
Start PC Companion and select Support zone then Update my phone/tablet then in Blue Repair my phone/tablet and follow the onscreen instructions - When prompted connect your phone still switched off holding volume down or back button - This should start the repair or reformat process
If you are using Windows 8/8.1 or a 64bit operating system then adjust the settings for PC Companion and run in compatibility mode and chose Windows 7 or XP
It has work thanks Thommo
