Try to disable apps you do not use, maybe clear data also.
Could you provide information on how to do this? I've recently purchased this phone, and so far I am very disappointed. I have not installed any apps, all I have done is to try and update the app bundled with the phone and I am getting the error. It seems ridiculous that the phone would come pre-installed with more apps than it can handle. So what exactly are we missing?
thanks.
Settings-apps-all,look for the apps you do not want, disable them and clear their data.
I am having the same problem and wondering how long it will take for Sony to update the firmeware so that the phone is able to use either the internal memory or SD card to store apps. I have very few apps in addition to those which Google apparently dictates that we need (and can't uninstall) - personally I don't use very many of the Google apps and it's getting very frustrating that I I can't update or install any more apps. I have moved all that I can to the internal storage. It appears that there is no solution at present - I regularly clear the cache and downloaded data but even though there's then about 80Mb free I still get the error message.
So, Sony, how about coming up with a fix for this - this is my 4th Sony mobile and it's sadly the worst!
I agree, there are so many crapps that I will never use and can't remove, just sitting on my phone using memory that would be better employed elsewhere. A lot of them I've Forced Stop / uninstalled updatesand freed up memory that way but then you run the risk of instability. Best to do one at a time and see what effects it has
