There is no sound in my Xperia J!

There is no sound in my Xperia J! It is only through the headphones. Ringtone for incoming calls can not be heard. Help me, please!!!!!!!!!!!

If adjusting the volume (Settings -> Sound -> Volumes) doesn't help i recommend that you first try making a repair of the phones software using PC Companion: http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/tools/pc-companion/.

If that doesn't help there's probably a hardware problem and i suggest you contact your local Sony Xperia support (http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/support/contact-us/) or a service location.

I have exactly the same problem and it is not about volume adjustments, it's something wrong with the phone. There's no sound at all only through headphones....
Were you able to solve the problem?? What's the solution??

Have you tried a software repair until now?If you are willing to,download sony update service.

just turn it off and then back on, and the sound is fine.

My Xpreia J has no sound unless I turn it off and back on again WITHOUT the ear phones plugged in.  If I want to use the earphones I have to then turn it off and back on again WITH the earphones plugged in.  My son has the same phone and it works for him too.
