HI..could somebody help me.. I accidentally dropped my phone. It was dropped in the water but fortunately, i was able to get my phone immediately. My phone is still working fine; however, when I plugged in my headset (or any headset for that matter), it will not work. It's as if there isn't any headset plugged in on my phone. Is this somehow a hardware issue? Can somebody please enlighten me. Thanks
Hi and welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.
If the phone have been exposed to water, some component(s) may have been damaged by it. I would suggest that you contact your local support team for further information about how to proceed with this in the best possible way:

This issue may not be related to dropping your phone.
If I want to use the earphones on my Xperia J I have to then turn it off and back on again WITH the earphones plugged in. Then, even without the earphones the phone has no sound unless I turn it off and back on again WITHOUT the earphones plugged in. My son has the same phone and it works for him too.
