Sony Headphones App not syncing with MDX100X

Hello everyone 

 

I've recently got a pair of MDX100X and while i've been very happy with their performance I cannot get them to sync with the headphone app on my iPhoneX. Even when they are paired and in use! 

 

Anyone else had this issue?

That's normal. There is no app for MDR-1000X.

App is only compatible with the newer version WH-1000XM2 and its sibling

That article isn't related to my query - When trying to use the headphones app on my iPhoneX, when i'm synced via bluetooh the App doesn't pick up the headphones
