How to sideload apps

1st Method

How to install it

You need to

go to settings -> applications -> check unknown sources

download IO File Manager

download the app on your computer, transfer it to your SD card, use OI file manager to find it -> tap on it -> install it

2nd method

download the apk on your computer, send it to yourself through email, make sure you send it to your Gmail

3rd Method

Thanks for the reply.

I tried this but is there any way to sync existing contacts automatically? Something like auto sync?

and don't forget that

settings -> accounts & sync

both must be selected

background data traffic & activate auto-sync

and you should have a data plan or wifi connection, it will take few minutes but it should work.

Thats really easy, I am using Xperia J and desperately wanted to have answer to this particular question. I tried the steps mentioned by you, and bingo i saved a copy of my contacts over the Box account (Thanks to Sony i got 50 GB storage free space over there!) as .vcf fiel (the default of a contacts file) Slightly_smiling_Face

Kudos !!
