Is Vizio a good brand for LCD TV's now?

Okay I have a few questions, but you may answer just the one if you like.

So I know that Vizio has been a low grade cheapy TV in the past, but I've heard that the new lines of TV's they've come out with have phenomenal picture quality and aren't low grade, but rather top of the line that compete with manufactures such as Samsung, LG and Sony. So another question I have is if this is true. Also, how does the picture quality of a Vizio really compare the big brands like Samsung, LG and Sony?
