Sony Xperia 1 issues

So yeah, i have been using Sony for many years but i actually do regret getting the 1. 

Whenever a new update has come to my phone things take a turn in a worse direction. 

The latest update has all but almost removed the Finger Print Reader's ability to read anything. 
I have cleaned the reader, i have cleaned my fingers and everything was dry and it just doesnt read it anymore. ( I did try to re read my prints )

The phone freezes up atleast 5-10 times a day where i cannot do ANYTHING for a good 5-30 seconds, i just have to wait patiently. 

The double tap to wake up is also really inconsistent, it works maybe 10% of the time? 

The phone get's hot, like really hot, and also cannot shoot video in 4k for more than 15 min without crashing the app. 

I loose my connection alot of the time so i can't use the phone for anything, sometimes a restart fixes it.

The sound quality has also degrated after one of the updates

I have reached the point where i would wish i could return the phone for a different one, but i waited too long for that since i wanted to give sony a chance to fix it with updates, but in reality it has only gotten worse.

I will leave a sidenote here for people considering to getting it or upgrading to it from an earlier sony. don't. It is not worth your hard earned money

As for cam overheating issues it's hit or miss. My last test in safe mode yeilded an overheating message but this morning a full 20 minutes of recording and another 6 minutes immediately thereafter and no problem. The 4k has always been fine but it's the 60fps that overheats. I really can't complain about much else except the small keyboard when typing posts like this one I'm always mistyping letters unless i use landscape view but that is just a nit pick

There is so much good with this phone and Sony could have made it a great one.

Can't you adjust the size of the keyboard/letters in the Settings, I'm sure you can. or don't type, use the Gboard swipe motion instead..after a few messages it's super smart, no typing, you just swipe your finger over the letters and it types the words, and with the right settings, as long as you go over the space bar, you don't even need to take your fingers off the screen.

I will agree with you regarding the fingerprint reader. It's killing me with its unreliability.
