23.4.A.0.546 firmware - 'no service' on wi-fi only tablet

I just upgraded to the 5.1.1 firmware and on first boot I had a notification telling me that mobile data was disabled. I dismissed that and it hasn't returned but now the lock screen tells me that I have 'no service'.

This is a wi-fi only tablet and therefore doesn't have a mobile data connection. Is there any way I can get that message to disappear from the lock screen?

It has been posted before, there doesn't seem a way to remove it, perhaps a future update.
