Hello all
Can I just say this is my first PC laptop (VGN-FS485b) and I love it!!
I used to use a desktop with dual screen. Now that I have moved to a laptop I have plugged in a second screen to the port in the side of my viao and successfully used the dual screen.
However recently I have been looking at buying a docking station
My first question is: are there any docking stations out there whereby I could plug 2 monitors into it?
If not could anybody recommend a normal docking station - I have been receiving conflicting info.
thanks
Richard
Hi mallory,
The Sony docking station recommended for your FS415B is the VGPPRFS1.CE,
The docking station includes the following Ports:
2 x USB 2.0
Parallel printer port
VGA port
LAN (RJ45) port
DC in
Further information can be found at Sony-Style just search for VGPPRFS1.CE ...:smileyhappy:
Hi Richard,
I don't think this is possible with a laptop - you would in effect need support for 3 screens as your laptop has one attached!
Only desktop full sized graphics cards have dual DVI outputs.
Hi Thalamus & Blencogo - thanks very much for your replies
much appreciated

You're welcome mallory...:smileyhappy:
Hi Richard,
I have found this video splitter which seem to be designed to do exactly what you want to give you a dual-screen output from your Vaio - provided you are prepared to pay about £120. It actually looks quite interesting what you can do with it!
MATROX DualHead2Go
Hope it helps - it is probably cheaper than a Docking Station.
That looks a cool bit of kit Blencogo...:smileyhappy:
Yes Thalamus - I must say I'm a bit tempted as it will work with a desktop as well.
