Z5 Compact Radio FM app freezing after Marshmallow Update

Hi there,

Yesterday I had my Z5c updated to Android 6.0 and after that, today I had some freezing issues with the Radio FM application.

2 or 3 times when I tried to minimize the application (after I changed the FM station) I got a frozen gray screen. I tried to closed the app, it appeared as closed, but radio was still working (!). After about 1 minute I got the message: "FM radio isn't responding. Do you want to close it?" I tried yes, but still didn't close! So I made a restart.

Then I tried to go to:   settings/apps/FM radio / Clear Data & Clear Cache

Since then, it seems to behave normally. Any ideas to avoid similar future issues??

Now it's about 4 months since your message here and we are still having issues with the FM Radio on our Xperia phones.

Do you have any more updates on this matter?

When will this annoying issue with the FM Radio will get fixed?

Or shall I say... will it get fixed at all?

Is someone at Sony even looking into this anymore?

I'm also experiencing issues with the FM radio on the Z5 Compact. It starts up and runs fine, but does not exit properly.

It's annoying to have to reboot the phone just to close the radio. 

I guess it's not to far until i receive the Android 7 update, so maybe it'll be fixed then at least?

My FM Radio app crashed this morning. The error message just shows "FM Radio has stopped" restart app is the only option, then the next one is "FM Radio keeps on stopping" the only option is to close app. 

I have done rebooting several times to no avail. I have followed your steps and prepared a bug report. Have the link as well. Please help. Thanks!
