Z1 Problems

Hi there!

Was at a phone shop earlier this afternoon afternoon and there I was comparing the new HTC One M8, Galaxy S4, Galaxy S5 and the Xperia Z1 side by side. For some reason I fell in love with the Z1. Why? It was just the right size (5" screen), its very light, build quality seem topnotch, audio quality (with my headphones) was near amazing, camera quality seem excellent and it was quite fluid and performance seem spot on.

But I want to ask about the curreent 4.4.2 update and other issues.

1. There seem to be no "Stop All" option as regards stopping all apps in thr multitasking button

2. Heard of intermittent wifi disconnections and this problem of wifi signal getting significantly weak even at a not-so distance

3. Camera placment is just wrong. You have a 99.99% chance you will cover it when taking a photo

4. Speaker sound still sounded muffled because of this wtaerproof thing.

Any comments please? Thnks.

The phone has water certification,so it should be fine in water.About those mentioned by you,if you look on youtube you will see the phone resisted in chocolate,beer etc.

I have a new problem.

Whilst checking my Twitter the screen of my Z1 just froze. I cannot use any part of the touchscreen. Tried pressing the Power button, Power+Volume Up, Power+Volume Down for a few seconds nothing is happening.

It has been on for 20 minutes now. Battery life is down to 40%. My fear is there might be a screen burnout and the phone is starting to heat up.

What should i do please?

Power button+vol up until the phone vibrates 3 times.Wait for them about 5-6 seconds.If not working,use the button here:

But, the big question is....why did it happened? Is this somewhat common in Xperia Z phones?

Is Sony Mobile aware of this issue?

The OS is not perfect,glitches occur.It could be from an app or from Android itself.

Glitches? So, why did Sony released 4.4.2 if it knows it has some glitches or bugs?

Another question: is Sony aware of this "random" glitches? If No then why? If Yes then are we to expect an update soon?

I am sorry,I do not have this kind of info.You need to ask xperia care about that.

But are glitches "common" with 4.4.2 as far what you know or have experienced?

There were issues with the internal/external speaker but now sony fixed them.

4.4.2 issues? Are they major issues? Have u added my alarm clock bug?
