Xperia ZR c5502 Wifi stopped working

Hi,

I am a first time user of Sony.

Barely 3 months old Xperia ZR C5502. WiFi was working for first couple of weeks. Suddenly started crashing and rebooting repeatedly and continuously when WiFi or BlueTooth is on. Works without any problem when WiFi is off. Now updated to latest 10.5.A.0.230. using Sony PC companion. Backed up, reset, tried repair through PC Compainon.  WiFi and Bluetooth is completely off now. Icons not even responding. No MAC address shown in settings too. Does these show a hardware failure ?

Internet search shows me similar horrible experiences with xperia. Really disppointed with Sony. Thanks in advance for any pointers here.

Sorry to hear about your phone.

I'm afraid this sounds like a hardware issue in your phone. For more information about how to submit your phone for repair and where, please contact your local support team.

Resolution from Sony  -

I submitted the phone at a sony authorized service center. Sony replaced the phone with a new C5502 under warranty terms. The new phone could be a factory refurbished one, as it is not provided in a sealed box. But it looks new with protective stickers on screen and back-cover. I am ok with that.

The replacement from sony implies a hardware issue. That is the answer to the problem i raised here. However, as if now, my problem stands resolved by Sony.

My thanks and  regards for your support.
