I have also experienced this and by the looks of these entries Sony aren't aware or are not interested?
Perhaps if enough of us make a point something might be done.
Over to you Sony as at the moment this device is not fit for purpose so I may be seeking compensation from you.
Fix it soon please!
Although I said this was the answer, Im not sure it was.
After the new update the problem no longer occurred
