Question: Can I download Apps on my PC and then transmit it manually into my device?

So I have a little problem. I can't download Apps (and updates) with Sony Xperia Z1 (C9603) from Google Store since a couple of weeks. I don't know if it's caused by my inadequate internet connection (No- WiFi), or by something else.

Would be nice if I would get a reply to this but it isn't my main question.

I already searched the web but I wasn't succesfull. So, is there a possibility to download the updates and apps on my PC and then put it manually on my Xperia Z1? And if it's possible then how? Is there an Programm for this? Where can I download the Updates and where (in which Folder on my phone) do I put them?

Also I'm so sorry for my English. I'm not a native English speaker but I hope you will understand what I mean. Slightly_smiling_Face

Thanks in advance.

And how do I get the file manager on my phone when I can't download anything? Or is it already pre-installed?

You have File Commander preinstalled. Open apps drawer, swipe from left side to bring search and then start typing application name. It should pop up.

You cannot do that, you need to use the google play store.I suggest you clear data for google play app under settings-apps-all and check how it is.

Theres a program called Bluestacks app player which when installed gives you an Android enviroment to be able to download apps etc and use/play them on a Pc from this you can then install an app which can create a backup of the app in apk format for transfer to a mobile or tablet etc for installation via your file manager app

Didn't work.

Mostly it only downloads 1-2% and then stops. Even after a night or so, there is no progress.

In this case try Thommo's suggestion and see if that helps.

From your Pc simply connect your phone via USB and copy and paste the .apk file to a place on your phone then via your file manager on your phone access that location and tap the apk file to install and you will be prompted exactly like Google play would to accept the terms etc

Download Astro on to the Pc Android program then search the program files folder for the backups or they may already be there
