Missing gps in shortcuts and settings

Hi, recently updated sw to 4.4.2, realized that none of the navigation apps could work as GPS was unable to startup. Tried searching for the service but seemed to have "lost" it, anyone can advise?

Create a widget for that - On your home screen pinch then select widgets then look for tools then you can either have all them in one or select the GPS on it's own to turn on and off GPS

Hi, unfortunately, unable to turn on/off as GPS shortcut cannot be found nor in the settings. I mean, I do not have gps appear as an option in the shortcut to turn on or off, and cannot be found in settings either.

Settings then Location and turn it on via the swipe method in the top right corner

You mean there is no more gps and location is the gps?

In location in GPS and if you open GPS once location is switched on there is 3 settings for GPS High, Battery saving and Device only - Battery saving does not use GPs to determine location this uses Wi-Fi and network

So yes in your Quick settings tap on Location to activate GPs but remeber to open Location via Settings to set what type of GPs you want to use - If it's not there in Quick settings then open Settings - Personalisation then Quick settings to activate the Icon or disable others that you don't want to see

Ok, got it. Hidden gps in location now. Quick settings has no choice to select or unselect gps for this version of 4.4.2.

Hi, after updating my Z1 to 4.4.2 I seem to have lost the GPS shortcut, I cant find a new GPS shortcut to install and I cant find the GPS settings anywhere. I am trying to activate the GPS via settings and location but it doesnt help. thanks for any help
