I'll see the call coming in on my Xperia Z3 but even when I swipe left to answer, it lags and then I eventually miss the call.
Does anyone else have this problem and hopefully a solution?
Solved! Go to Solution.
Yes, the same thing occurred. However, I "fixed" this by being more patient when I answer the phone and swiping "answer" slower to allow it to register.
Not a great solution but it works!
Can you check if the same occurs in safe mode?

Hi @candylove13 , can you explain a bit further....for example when a call comes in can you see the callers ID or is the screen just black
Hi, there are a couple of things to try....the first is called SAFE MODE....this will see if there is a problem with a 3rd Party App that you have installed (if you have) interfering with your phone, if your phone works perfectly whilst running in Safe Mode you know it is this.....the 2nd thing to do is a PCC REPAIR, basically repairing your phone BUT before doing this you must back up your phone...may sound all very complicated but if you follow the instructions you will be fine, i've added the links below to these but try the Safe Mode first :smileysmileywink:

You are NOT imagining this and I do NOT believe it is anything you have done to your phone. SONY had NOT bothered to fix it either as I have a Xperia Z5 compact and have the same problem. VERY FRUSTRAITING !!!!!! I am currently going to try the one fix mentioned above that turns on smart call handling where it answers when brought up to your ear. Haven't had a chance to prove it works yet. On this Xperia Z5, I went into 'settings', and then 'call'. In 'call settings' the very first choice is 'Smart Call Handling'. I turned it on and we shall see how it works! SONY should be embarassed to have not figured this out and came up with a FIX imediately. It obviously isn't just the screen as you well know because it 'senses' my fingers every other time for every other purpose. Just NOT to answer a call.
