Anti Shatter Film Removal

Hello, my ASF became scratched above my front camera to the point that I can't use it due to blurred images. I've read that removing this can void the warranty, and also that Sony Support in Australia said that it is not a void on the warranty. I'd Jump to the Z2 but it's not with T Mobile yet and I can't get insurance on it if I get an unlocked phone and take it to them. Or, are there other options?

You can remove it by yourself or take it to a sony service to handle that for you.Check with your local xperia:

So it won't void my warranty with Sony?

No,they will change it and it should be just fine. Some say it will void warranty if you do it yourself.

Please be wary of this as you can damage the seals when removing the ASF due to it being heat sealed onto the glass and as such I would generally advise against removing it unless performed by an authorised repair agent.

So I'm assuming it only voids warranty if the seal is broken as a result of removing the ASF?

You are best to confirm with the local team or repair agent to be safe.
