XZ2c direct dial won't work

I can place contacts on my Home Screen using Add Widgets-Direct Dial and selecting a Contact but when I press it on the Home Screen nothing happens ?? Used to work fine on my Z1

I can also get a Contact on my Home Page using Add Contact to HP but all it does is then take me to the Contact and I have to dial from there

Any help very welcome (Sony Support said go to Play Services and find an app !!!!!!!)

Solved my own problem - Contacts wasn't given permission in my Launcher !!
