Only big red (Verizon) can answer that question, my opinion, it won't, the Xperia XZs, XZ Premium were just announced and about to be released, but since Verizon is a CDMA network I doubt it'll happen; perhaps AT&T or T-Mobile.

As I am sure you know by now, no it is not sanctioned by Verizon. However... I have the xz premium and am currently on their LTE+ network. It is possible. DO NOT TAKE NO FOR AN ANSWERScreenshot_20170727-183727.png

How did u get it to work on their network?

It wasn't easy and it was a very fickle process. However, now that I have gone through the butt pain of getting it done, it should be much easier for someone else. I will post the forums that I used and more info tonight. Right now isn't a good time. Oh, and I still haven't figured out VoLTE yet... So there's still not a great option for me to receive calls and texts. Was working with Google hangouts/dialer/voice, but the whole thing was weird and I didn't want to pay to port my number. Perhaps I should just select a number they give me and verify it works.

A Verizon Wireless-co-branded Xperia XZ Premium is unlikely. The last Sony Mobile phone sold by Verizon Wireless was the Xperia Z3V, which was released three years ago. (An Xperia Z4V was announced, but never released.) Add to that, Sony Mobile has not made carrier-specific phones for United States mobile carriers since the T-Mobile USA Xperia Z3 and the Verizon Wireless Xperia Z3V and it's even more unlikely.

I am surprised that someone was apparently able to get an unlocked Xperia XZ Premium to work on Verizon Wireless. I suppose this means that anyone might get it to work with enough effort, but it is quite a bit more effort than getting that same phone to work on a GSM carrier like AT&T or T-Mobile USA.

Also, keep in mind that even if you are able to get an Xperia XZ Premium to work on Verizon Wireless, you will need to be in an area with LTE coverage. CDMA-only areas will get no service because the Xperia XZ Premium has no CDMA hardware. (And no Wi-Fi calling either.)

I don't know about the rest of the country, but in SC you are better off finding a four leaf clover than a spot with no LTE coverage. So, lack of CDMA does not bother me. But if I can't find a voip that supports both talk and sms while porting my old number... Then yes, switching to T-mobile may be the better option.

And why do you say no wifi calling?

There is no option in the unlocked Xperia XZ Premium's settings for Wi-Fi calling. Other than non-standard ways of making calls (like Skype or Google Hangouts), all calls on an unlocked Xperia XZ Premium can only be done via cellular.
