Remove Persistent Cell Information Notification

Android 7.1.1

It is impossible to remove the cell information notification from the status bar. Even if you select Level 1 notification, the notification still persists. It is very annoying as I am never free from notifications.

Please help.

Hi @JKiku, welcome to the community.

This will be pushed by your network. If you tap and hold the notification, you should get options to edit it. Can you disable it via that menu?

Hi CameronT! If I tap on the notification I can only select the priority level of the notification, but not disable it.

@JKiku, I have been looking into this as it sounded familiar and found another thread:

/t5/Xperia-Z5-Z5-Compact-Z5-Premium/Disable-Cell-broadcast-notification-sony-xperia-z5-compact/td-p/...

It doesn't appear that you can disable it in the default system.
