Recents button does not work?

Any suggestions? Both home and back buttons work fine .

recent apps open or what are you referring to?

The recents softkey to the right of the home button at the bottom of display  When I tap on that it doesn't bring up recent apps

Have you restarted the phone? what happen when you press it? are you using a different homelauncher?

Restarting the phone every one or two weeks is a good habit that cleans up clutter like memory that has been claimed by certain apps.
