after testing I have returned this phone.
i had before 3 z3 compacts. z5 compact was overheating. x compact had a touchscreen that was not responsive enough on the edges due to 2.5d glass and vibration motor was really strange. i thought finally this timt i can upgrade but no.
Reasons:
1. The metal edge of the xz1 compact on the bottom is hurting/irritating my skin after long usage! Its simply too sharp and not round to fit perfect in the palm. this is unacceptable in my opinion for a compact phone. To Sony -> form follows function! you know that?
2. Camera is not 600€ worth! Its distorted and Sony is not even announcing to make a lens correction profile in cam software.
3. The vibration motor is still bad! they have used the same shiity motor already in the X compact. its loud like a bee when you press quickly on the keyboard and not the way like on xz premium or z3 compact. I would like to hear why Sony is trying to save money in this parts when this is highend compact price.
After 3 years of waiting i have bought a S7 flat yesterday and the camera is way better. really better. it has functions that sony's software never had and sony is a camera producer. unbelievable. AE/AF lock, distortion fix, great manual mode, RAW etc.... unfortuantely its a bit too big but hey better big than an metal edge in my palm.
I'm disappointed by Sony and hope that they will finally make something the money worth in 2018
