My headset (BOSE) doesn't work with Xperia XZ Premium

Hi, I’m asking if someone has the same problem as me. I have a Bose SoundTrue II and I was using it every time until I buy an Xperia XZ Premium. My phone detects my headset when I connect it until I play music (for example). The music starts normally, but 2 seconds after, the headset disconnects automatically. My headset works fine on Xperia M5 Dual, Xperia Z3, Xperia Z3Tablet, Xperia Z4 Tablet and Xperia XA.

Can Sony give me an explanation ?

Also have you tried to force stop other app that use sound:radio, YouTube,.etc?

I have the exact same issue with bose soundsport on my xz premium. Worked with Xperia Z2 and z3. 

I have tried to download Smart Connect, resetting music app, Spotify and YouTube without success.

Mine do not work either. Normail plug in ones, they seem to work for a short while then it as if they have been unplugged as the music stops.

same problem here, headset not supported, when i plug them in

im sick of this , happened on my z3 too. i dont even have smart connect installed to clear it. i have also tried software repair to no avail. which makes me think its a hardware issue. but then that app sound about makes it work which makes me think its software issue again ???? either way im sick of it and now have to send off my phone for ten days to have my phone taken apart no doubt. its not good enough sony. this is poor design. and there is zero working solutions online for me either.

My other headphones (beats and bose) developed same issues again. Music stops after few seconds or when the screen goes off. IPhone headphones work fine for some reason or when I use headphone jack splitter.

The Bluetooth works perfectly with the XZ, the problem is with the wired, I still don't know why Sony didn't fix that issue, the only way is, to install SoundAbout app and force it to wired headphones for media.

But why should we buy an app for it to work? Please, Sony fix this issue. All my appliances are sony but for this tiny issue you're not fixing, I'm not going to recommend your xz. 

Or At least let someone for the tech support response to any of us.

I've just spend 130 quid on some bose headphones as my Sony ones don't work in left ear. Now I have this issue and they are unusable! 2 seconds then music stops. Sony u stopped replying on this thread, can I have an update please?  Has anyone found any workaround at all?

I've just posted a workaround that works with my Bose headphones. It's quite embarassing for Sony so check it out quickly as the mods might remove it...
