Sony Xperia Tablet Z1 Won't Switch On and Red LED Always On

My Sony Xperia Tablet Z1 appears to have stopped working altogether for seemingly no reason at all.

The red LED next to the power button is constantly on and the device doesn't appear to charge, nor will it switch on.

I have tried a number of options (Vol Up + Power Button, etc.) in order to restart/mimic a battery pull on the device, all to no avail.

Any suggestions?

Hi and welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.

Is there any reaction when you hold the ON/OFF button + volume up(+) for 5-10 seconds? I suggest that you disconnect your Tablet from any kind of power source, hold the ON/OFF button + volume up (+) for 10 seconds. Without trying to power it on, connect it to the charger via wall socket and let it charge for 3-4 hours to see if you can power it on.

Same happened to mine and it had to be sent back to Sony. Hope this helps
