HI there

I have a Sony Xperia, model number LT18i

I wont update to anything above the android version 2.3.4...

It is saying that my phone is already up do date when it clearly isnt

any help please?

If you don't have ICS then this will be down to your country or network not authorising the update - This is not a Sony issue - You will have to contact yout network or you could manually flash another countries firmware in order to upgrade

The Arc & Arc S struggle to run any Android version after Gingerbread 2.3.4.

ICS on an Arc / Arc S is a painful frustrating experience, just look at the amount of posts on here from people that made the mistake of upgrading to ICS & then wanting to go back to Gingerbread.

Arc / Arc S is just old 2011 technology, its obsolete, either stick with Gingerbread OR buy a newer more up to date handset with better hardware.

Im an Arc S owner, i tried ICS & it's awful as the hardware just isn't up to running it correctly.
