Please help....yes I'm a newbie and all that but I am pretty tech savvy ....
On my Z3 Compact I have insterted a 128Gb Micro SDXC card into the mem slot. Have go the MediaGo app running and have a source on my C:\ drive for my music which is around 56Gb in library size.
When I drag and drop music or try to sync music via the app to the memory card I get a rediculously slow speed on data transfer to the point that it takes nearly two hours to move one 12 song album across to the card.
I have tried insterting the card with the device off and also formatting the card but none of this helps.
I also have a 64Gb card which I have tried in the same scenarios, this card performs as you would expect with fast data transfer and syncronisation of my library. This rules out an issue with the device in terms of memory card recognition and having tried the 128Gb card in other devices I can see the card fine so I know the card isnt faulty. This leads me to a conclusion that my Z3 doesnt support 128Gb SanDisk Ultra micro SDXC cards which is contrary to what I have read.
Can anyone please advise on what I am missing here.
Thanks
I'm having huge problems with my Z3 with a 64GB SanDisk Ultra SDXC. I've verified with SanDisk that the card is genuine, and copying files onto my Mac works fine. The card has about 2000 pictures and movies on it (using about 37GB of data).
I've benchmarked my card and internal memory:
Internal memory: Read 196MB/s, Write 53MB/s
SD Card: Read 41MB/s, Write 15MB/s (this seems totally normal)
Here are the problems:
1) Android File Transfer wont even start with the card in in the Z3. Neither will Sony Bridge. When I take the card out, Sony Bridge works fine.
2) With the SD Card in the phone, the Camera and Album hang after a picture or two, and definitely as soon as I want to look at a picture I've taken. Google Camera has exactly the same problems.
The problems have gotten worse over time, and I think accelerated with Lollipop.
This feels like a severe bug in Album (something to do with caching) that is affecting the whole phone. At times the whole phone freezes.
