Proper battery care in Xperia xz

Hello guys.. May I know the optimum battery charging capacity for Xperia xz... Do I allow it to get down to 15% before recharging, or have it continuously topped up whenever it's near the AC outlet..?

Hi @xznewbie.

The Xperia XZ uses adaptive charging to prevent battery decline. It learns your charging patterns and adapts to them, resulting in up to twice the battery lifespan.

Basically, you do not have to wait for it to get low, you can plug it in whenever you need to.

Many times battery care does not recognize what time I want wake up and unplug the device from the charger, therefore this feature is not starting (no matter you set the alarm).

I assume the only proper battery care should be the way app allows you to select the time you unplug the device from the charger and therefore will work everytime.

battery care doesnt recognize different charging times. i dont plug the phone in to the same time every day. battery care is more of a marketing gag than a true useful tool.

Yes, I must say I find battery care to be rather inconsistent on the whole. I charge my device around the same time every evening before going to bed, & sometimes battery care is activated & other times its not.

It's a useless gimmick. Just buy a £4 mechanical mains socket timer and charge the phone for 2.5 hours whenever it suits.

Hi guys,

I want to know if the battery juice distribution is normal for my xperia xz.. the android consumes 42% while when the phone is idle it consumes 13%.. Is it  normal? I  noticed that even when the phone is idle the battery juice gradually declines.. Is there a way to control it.

I have tried shutting down the wifi,, even the cellular data connection , disablin one of the Simcard but there is still t hat noticeable loss in battery charge during the morning where the phone was unused for the night...

Can someone enlighten me on this matter?

trashcan sorry to hear that,
but you are on the wrong topic, this one is related to Battery Care feature only.

Please stick to the topic, otherwise post your comment on the relevant one or create a new one in case you won't be able to find the suitable thread.

Thank you.
