got a bing yesterday to say an update was available so started the update and left phone at home whilst at workuppon returning home phone will not wake up at all and has a flashing blue light at top (which i assume wwas a fb notice) this has since turned red

have tried holding the power button down but doesnt seem to be working .. any thoughts please ?

Hi and welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.

Give the phone a good charge (2 hours or so) and then attempt a firmware repair as below:

1. Download the PC Companion software from http://www.sonymobile.com/gb/tools/pc-companion/
and install it on your PC.
2. Install and open PC Companion then select Support Zone.
3. Phone Software Update.
4. Start.
5. Repair Phone
6. Continue
7. Accept data removal
8. Next
9. Wait for prepare
10. Select Phone
11. Follow the connection steps
