MICRO SIM CARD - Xperia z tablet

I have just ordered an xperia z tablet.

Do I actually need a SIM card as I have also have an xperia z (c6603) mobile / cell phone.

If I need a mobile network can I just "piggyback' my tablet onto my phone??

Is the tablet wi-fi only or LTE?If it is LTE,you can use the micro SIM from your other device.

It's an xperia z tablet sgp312

You won't be able to use any SIMs in it because it is the wi-fi only version.
