I *LIKE* my Z2

With all the issues a number of other users of the Z2 seem to be having, I thought it might be good to have a thread of people who don't seem to have any issues with the phone.... starting with me.

  • I get 4 days out of the battery.  That's Stamina mode on, ignoring Gmail, and Google+ & Facebook apps disabled.  Also 3G & wlan, Bluetooth & GPS on 24 hours. Oh, and a Pebble smartwatch connected 24/7, and Bluetooth audio in use around 3 hours a day.
  • Phone feels more solid than the Z1, no build quality issues I can see.
  • Camera works fine, and doesn't have any "off-centre rear camera" issues
  • Phone doesn't get warm (it did once; that's why I disabled Google+ & Facebook)
  • Screen is a quality piece of kit.

What's the manufacturing date of your Z2? You can find the information in a small black insert in the sd slot; It's written something like "14W15"

From what I've read on various forums 14W18 phones( the last manufactured , it seems) seem to be the first to have very small(little screen gaps)/no problems. I'm very happy about that.

I'll look for a 14W18 Z2 around the shops and i'll buy it.....

EDIT: the last manufactured are 14W19, and are perfect from what i've read.

I totally agree to that.

Got mine last Thursday and it's 14W19.

Very small gaps, none of the problems reported here, no heating issues. It is perfect except the software related issues.

I'm totally satisfied with it.
