How to send/forward telnr to another mobile?

Hi! I have an X10i and want to forward a number to a friend, how do I do that? Without having to wright it down manually, that is

try to copy and paste it into a text message.

Ok, so how do I copy and paste with this Android-mobile, Im not very familiarized with this OS

if you hold your finger on the text you should get a new window with some options, just select copy then on the empty text message cell hold your finger again and another window will come up and select paste.
