Help me out please my Xperia sl is not starting up properly. When I long press the lock button to switch on the phone the sony logo is displayed and then a symbol that looks like this
It is a caution like sign with a mobile phone laying down.
To clarify the phone does not go into a loop after this symbol it just simply goes back to being switched off. The battrey is fully charged so it is not a batterey issue.
I have read the faq's but did not get a right troubleshooting option. The faq's do not go in detail and give me only one option to reinstall the software of the phone. To hard reset my phone is my last resort, but even the option to open a menu by pressing the lock button and volume low button is not working. When I press these buttons I just get three vibrations and nothing happens. Please help me I got a lot of importanat stuff on my phone.
Help my asap.

Hi and welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.
Unfortunately, there is not much you can do in this case than to perform a repair of the phone's software. You can perform a software repair on your unit via Update Service:
http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/tools/update-service/
Download and install SUS at your PC, follow the instructions that appear.
Note that your phone should be completely off when you perform this repair. You can force a shut down by holding down the ON/OFF button + volume down(-) button for 10 seconds.
