Hi,
I wanted to know if the phone uses the internal battery for playback or gaming etc. even when it's connected to usb charging?
for example in a laptop if it's connected to ac charge, it won't use internal battery.. only uses it if ac adapter is not plugged in.. so was trying to understand if the mobile phone also works the same way?
Since if that's the way it works, we can conserve battery by plugging in when watching videos or playing games.

If you charge the phone and use it while charging,it could overheat pretty much.Didn't you experience this?
Hi.. so you are saying that phone works only on battery and not on charging current directly? ...and hence battery overheats due to being constantly being charged and discharged at the same time?

Yes,that is my point. The phone does not start without a battery, like a laptop for example. So it must be using the battery even when charging.

At the Li-Ion,you can see how to take good care of your battery.
okay thanks for the info and link... btw.. phone manufacturers should make the phone operate on charging current via adapter as it works in a laptop.. probably a dc input plug point for adapter.. i don't know why they don't provide such functionality.. not related to sony but mobile phones in general..

yes in phones its work that way..charger charge the battery and phone will drain it from battery
if you connect your phone to pc or weak charger if you start to play game phone will notify you that your battery is draining connect to stronger charger
