Bug: Telefon app on Z1Compact don't start when pressing the phone button on SBH80

If bought the BT Headset SBH80. In general I´m satified.

But if I press the telephone button on the SBH80 a "Inizializing" Screen appears on the Z1 compact and nothing happens.

The phone app should open.

Can you please help me regarding this bug?

Hi and welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.

When you hold the answering button on a bluetooth headset it will not open the dialer but Google Search.
But there seems to be some sort of issue with the latest version of Google Search, it gets stuck at initializing for me as well.
Try uninstalling the update for Google Search under Settings -> Apps -> Google Search and see if the version that we have preinstalled in the phone works.

It really seems to be a google search bug.

Another question: On my friends Galaxy S4 it opens SVoice and not Google Search which is in my opinion much better.

Is there also a SonyVoice app?

Second question: How do I prevent an automatical update of Google search?

Glad to hear that it works now 

We don't have any own voice dialer but there are some 3:rd party ones in Google Play if you want to try others.
You need to switch off automatic updates in Google Play -> Settings (tap top left to see it) -> Auto-update apps.

Thanks a lot. Great support as always. This is why I prefere Sony Smartphone over Samsung and HTC.

Some more question:

- What is in your opinion a good 3rd party app? Tips are welcome

- Will the switch off automatic updates in Google Play apply for all apps or is this switch app specific which I would of course prefere?

- "Google every where": It can be activated but does not work properly. Very often the device doesn`t react on "OK Google", I have to reapt it 10 or more times until the command is recognised.Even in the 3 times "ok google" trainer the same happens.

I'm afraid i haven't tested any 3:rd party apps for voice dialing. Searching Google Play i did find this one for example which says it works with bluetooth and most languages: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.cyberon.cvsd but i haven't tested it myself.

The setting for automatic updates will turn off automatic updates for all apps. I don't know of any way to turn off automatic updates for a specific app.

Google everywhere is not available for my language so i haven't used it much. But it's part of Google Search so perhaps you need to update the app but that would give you the issue with bluetooth voice search.
