try to open xperia diagnostics. settings>about phone
does it appear on the test?
try to boot your device on safe mode. long press on power off button. does it appear on safe mode?
if it does, it might be a hardware problem, try to have your phone checked at your local service center http://support.sonymobile.com/global-en/contactUs/

Yeah so yeah a couple of days after I posted that the white blotch slightly fades, I thought that okay maybe it's better or something. However after I sent my phone for a repair because the power button sunk down and was not functioning normally, a few days after it returned, it came back with a shocker, now beside the white blotch when I tilt the phone sideways there is a white discoloration from the side of the screen, and when you tilt it flat there is a slowly discoloration of blue in the middle of the screen that is faint but evident. And yes I did all those diagnostics things and yes they still appear there, I turned it on safe mode too still there.
Is there anyone who will actually give me an answer other than the vague "bring it to your local service center" because the last time I did that this device turned this way. And this is my only phone, I use for work and I can't lose it again like the time I sent it to the service center which BTW was like 2 weeks for a very minimal improvement for my power button issue.
My XA has a blotch too. It's actually on the navigation bar right next to recent (multitasking key). Like you said it's invisible in the dark background, i noticed it when i changed my theme which has light background on th nav keys, it's visible while watching video and photos or when i use full screen (hide nav keys) in the browser. It looks really weird. I tried everything from safe mode to diagnostics and software repair, but it doesn't go away.
I don't get time to go to service centre 'cause its really far from my area plus i had a really bad experience with the guy there. Hope he's not there now.
