Sony WH1000-XM3 Headband Break?

I have read about some problems with a breaking headband on the Sony WH1000-XM3. How common is this issue? I'm hesitating with buying one because this would be a severe issue and I don't want to spend another 100€ for repair. I can't really see how often it occurs.

Happened to mine and Sony didn't want to take any responsibility for it, so i wouldnt recommend you to buy it.
