unable to throw

hi all

I have been trying to figure out how to throw media to my bravia tv. I have managed to sort out the settings on my laptop, so I am now able to share info between tablet and laptop.when I try to throw a picture the message reads unable to find player.can anyone tell me what I am missing.mike

I have good results of DLNA throwing with the combo of these two apps from the market:

Upnp  as the DLNA viewer/player/controller

AND

MX player as the videoplayer on the android tablet.

In MX player, I set it to S/W coding by default for max compatibility of codecs. H/W could be faster or more stable if the format of the video is right, but seems to result in blank screen for some video formats.

Upnp sees my Sony Bravia TV and my BluRay player as alternative Renderers in my local network.

I can throw jpg and video to them, provided they are in the right format. Upnp indicates wheter the selected renderer of choice can play the video. MX player accepts more different formats than the tv and BluRay player.

You can install more video players, in Upnp it pops up which player you want to use for which format.

I have succesfully played various avi, mov, mpg, mpeg movies, from canon, panasonic, hp cameras and avi animations generated on a pc.

The native DLNA player app ( recently updated ) has only basic features.
