SONY CDX-GT35U ALWAYS SHOWS "OFFSET" ON DISPLAY

NEED SOME HELP OR ADVICE PLEASE. MY SONY PLAYER WITH THE MODEL NUMBER CDX-GT35U ALWAYS SHOWS THE WORD "OFFSET". IF TRIED DISCONNECTED IT AND CONNECTING IT AGAIN AND STILL SAME RESULT. I ALSO TRIED PRESSING THE RESET BUT, BUT STILL SAME RESULT. ALSO I TRIED REWIRING IT TO AND STILL, SAME RESULT. SO PLEASE IF ANYONE OTHER CAN HELP ME I WOULD GLADY APPRECIATE IT. OH IF WOULD HELP WHEN IT SHOWS THE OFFSET THE SUBWOOFER ONLY WORKS BUT ALL 4 SPEAKERS DONT.

OffSet error message usually indicates that there could be an internal malfunction..

The manual recommends that you check the connections & if the error indication remains on in the display, consult your nearest Sony dealer/radio specialist..

I should just mention that this message comes up if the unit gets damp and is shorting (if it's in the car, check the wiper seals). Lost 2 units through that before I realised what was  causing the internal malfunction. Fixed the seal, dried out the unit, no further problems. One of the giveaways was that some of the lights on the unit remained on (dim) when ignition key removed suggesting a short somewhere (yes, water does that).
