MDR-ZX770BN audio issues while using microphone

Hey guys,
I've run into some trouble connecting my headphones to my computer - when i only listen to music or watch a movie it works just fine, but as soon as i turn on skype or teamspeak, the audio switches into "headphones with microphone" mode, and the audio quality is just awful - about 8000Hz and can't be changed. When i force the computer to use only "headphones" mode and set it as default communication device, when i have teamspeak turned on, it becomes silent and there is no sound at all - from any source.
Im using windows 8, all drivers are up to date, tried to switch headphone modes, did not help.

Do you have any suggestions how to fix this issue?

Hi, I am having the same issue, it seems like it can't use the mic and regular audio output at the same time and instead it uses the low quality sound. Anyway I hope that I am wrong and there is a solution. If not I will be returning the headphones since its unusable for me like this.
