Hi,
I have 2 laptops one VAIO K215Z with Wirelss 54Mbps and another VAIO B1XP with wireless 54Mbps and it connects peer to peer only at 11Mbps,.. i changed the connection to 802.11g (54) but they still connect to 11mbs.. does anyone knows what to do..?
K215Z wireless is LAN-Express AS IEEE 802.11g miniPCI Adapter
B1XP wireless is INTEL PRO 2200 IEEE 802.11b/g
i never used an acces point to test them.. though in peer to peer they connect only at 11mb...
Thank you,
All the very best for all.
Something is not right.. on K215 i have WPA-NONE and on B1XP i have WPA and WPA-PSK.. what should i do?
You need WPA-PSK if you use a Router. You don't need it for Ad-Hoc.
If you connect your B1 on a Router too, then you should both. If not then try to use only WPA. But you must use it on both VAIOs.
I think WPA-none and WPA is the same.
i connects them as computer to computer but...anyways.. i used wpa and wpanone and its the same probelm
i get only 11mb on k215z and on b1xp i get 54mb strange.. i dont know how to fix this 😞 😞 thats so bad 1mb transfer 😞
LOL, I thought this problem is on the B1.:smileyblush:
Are they updates for the K-Vaio?. I think not.:smileysad:
I feel a bit brainless at the moment.:smileycoffee:
I checked for updates and are not updates i have the latest drivers installed lol
This drives me insane
That would it me too, if I would have this problem.:smileychicken:
is there a tool for fine tune my k215 wireless driver? as i am not sure witch of the wireless cards have the problem 😞
coz when i change the B1XP to 802.11g it doesnt want to connect to the wriless..and if i let it on both b and g it conencts to 54 on b1xp and the k215z connects with 11..i hate this... what it could be? a hardware problem? or incompatibility?
Now i have the B1XP configurated only for 802.11g and i can connect only with K215 to the B1XP but vice versa its not possible..
Maybe it's the K-Vaio?
yes its possible.. but i wonder how can i find out... only if i have some friends with a wireless lan.. hum...and test it like that
yes, maybe you should test it. Things like these can be really........:smileyrolling_eyes:
